115 Santan 1748 The last will and testament of Robt Curghey the Largey of the parish of St Ann who departed this life the 27th Jan 1748 being in perfect mind and memory at the makeing hereof. First He committed his soul to God and his body to a Christian burial. Item: He bequeathed to his son Robt Curghey five or six yards of linnen cloth for or toward his buryal close. Item: He bequeathed to the children of his son John Curghey vizt John, Mary and Margret one lamb. Item: He bequeathed to the children of his son Patrick Curghey as aforesaid Wm and Margret one lamb. Item: He bequeathed to his daughter Isable's child one lamb. Item: He bequeathed six pence legacy to any person or persons that should sue or crave anything to his concerns. Lastly He nominated appointed and ordained his loving wife whole and sole executrix of the rest of his goods moveable and immoveable whatsoever. Testes: Wm Carran x John Quirk At a Court of Correction at Castletown Jan 31 1748. The executrix is sworn in court in form of law and hath given pledges for payment of debts and legacys namely John Quirk and John Curghey Probatum Est: Edv: Moore and Ro: Radcliffe.
