128          Jurby
The last will and testament of JONEY FREER ALS CORLETT 
of Jurby who departed this life about 28th of October 
anno domini 1748, being of perfect mind and memory at 
the making thereof.  First, she committed her soul to 
God and body to Christian burial.  
Item, she left unto her NIECE BAHEE CORLETT her black 
garment.  
Item, she left unto the said BAHEE CORLETT and HER 
SISTER JONEY a suit of headclothes each in case her 
Executors to pleased to give them.  
Item, she left to her ILLEGITIMATE SON ROBERT WADE 
ten shillings with as much prinnella as would make a vest.  
Item, to her SON WILLIAM FREER she left her part of 
the cow and her hood.  
Item, she left six pence legacy to any person that 
pretend right to her effects, and six pence legacy to 
the witnesses of her will.  
And lastly, she nominated and appointed her HUSBAND 
WILLIAM FREER and her said SON WILLIAM FREER sole and 
joint Executors of all the rest of her goods moveable 
and immoveable whatsoever.

AT A CONSISTORY COURT AT  MICHAEL, 
May 31st 1749: 
The Executors are sworn in Court in form of Law and 
have given pledges viz, John Corlett of KK Christ Lezayre 
and William Tear the witness.  
Probatum est, Solvit 12d. Edw:Moore, Ro:Radcliffe.                   

JULY 3RD 1802
THE WITHIN NAMED LEGATEE ROBERT WADE having departed 
this life and xxxxxx xxxxxxx the WIFE OF EWAN CALEY his 
Executrix, the said EWAN CALEY do acknowledge that he 
received the legacy of ten shillings and as much 
prenilla as will make a vest, which was bequeathed to 
the said ROBERT WADE, from the hands of WILLIAM FREER 
one of the Executors, & I do hereby acquit release and 
xxxxx the said WILLIAM FREER his Executors Administrators 
& Assigns of all claims and demands on account of the 
said Legacy bequeathed to ROBERT WADE as aforesaid, 
witness my mark to my name the day and date above written.
