25 Lonan This is affirmed to be the Last will & testament of John Skillicorn of KK Lonnan who departed this Life about the 30th of December 1750 — being of perfect mind & memory at the makeing hereof -- first He committed his soul unto God and his body to Christian Buriall -- Item He Left & bequeathed unto his sister Isable Skillicorn two [sheep?] one of them one year old and the other two years Item He Left unto his wife Elizabeth Skillicorn als fargher what goods was properly his in the mountain seven or eight sheep — Item He left unto his foresd wife — Elizabeth half of what land he had for the term of twenty years Ensueing in case & provided the foresd Elizabeth shall have Issue or child by her Husband John Skillicorn and the sd child to continue alive — & if not then the [...] Elizabeth is not to Receive the benefit of the one half of the Land but while she will remain in his name without marrageing — — and if their be no Issue or child alive — then the foresd Land is to fall & descend unto the nearest of Kin or Relation and to pass in the nature of Inheritance Also He left half of his Husbandry gears unto who Ever shall be [..?..] to pass for heir upon the foresd land — and to be from the heir to the succeeding heir as the foresd land is to pass [..?..] herritage Item He left six pence Legacy to any person that might claime any Right or title to his Effects hereafter -- Lastly He constituted ordained and nomenated his mother Margtt Skillicorn whole Execrx of all the Rest of his goods moveable & immoveable of what kind or nature so Ever Witnesses Phillip Hogg his mrk X Jurati Isable Skillicorn her mark X At a Court of Correction at Douglas Jan 21st 1750 The Execrx sworn in Court in form of Law, and hath given pledges for payment of Debts accordingly namely Danl Looney & John Calister both of KK Lonan Probatum est Ro: Radcliffe Matts Curghey John Skillicorn 1750, p. 2 At a Court of Correction at Douglass Jan 25th 1750 The Execre is sworn in Court in form of Law and hath given pledges for payment of Debts Accordingly namely Danl Looney & John Calister both of KK Lonan Memdum a Posthume Probatum est yet unborn — Salvo — Ro: Radcliffe Matts Curghey At a Chapter Court at Douglass May 13, 1751 -- There being a Posthume born namely Thos Skillicorn since the Decease of the Testar for whom there was no provision made — He is Decreed Joint Adminr wth the Execrs named in the within will, who is sworn to bring to the Registry a perfect Inventory of the goods of the Decd for the benefit of the minor — John Kelly, Ellinr Skillicorn, Ann Kermod als Skillicorn & Isabel Skillicorn Uncle & Aunts to the minor by the fathers side are sworn Supervisors, as also assist in bringing in the Inventory of the Goods are comitted to sd Uncle & Aunts who have given pledges namely John Brew & Wm Quayle Probatum est Ro: Radcliffe Matts Curghey
