This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Peter Corkill of K
Braddan who dyed about the 9th of November 1750
He being in sound mind and memory at the making hereof.
First he committed his soul to God and his body to Christian burial.
He bequeathed to his daughter Esther fourteen shillings and the said cash
and children he left in the care of their mother till they came to age.
Lastly he nominated and appointed his beloved wife whole and sole
executrix of all his goods

At a Court of Correction at Douglas Jan 21st 1750 the executors sworn
in court in form of law and has the tuition of the children and their
goods committed unto her pursuant to the will, she is likewise together
with Henry Looney their uncle sworn of overseers and has given pledges
according to law vizt John Stole and Capt Edward Fletcher both of KK
Braddan
