       Kirk Michael 1752

The last will and testament of Christian Clark als Quayle of KK Michael who
departed this life the 12th June anno dom: 1752.  And being of perfect mind
and memory at the making hereof -
First she commited her soul to God and body to Christian burial.
Item - She left unto her daughter Joney Sayle als Clark the sum of sixteen
pounds legacy besides what was in the hands of her and her husband John
Sayle with the bed whereon she lay and half her shaped cloathes.  They
returning and paying twenty shillings each unto all their children excepting
their son Henry Sayle unto whom she left a cow which she had in keeping with
Wm Quayle.
Item - In case her said son and daughter John and Joney Sayle should contend
with her executrix for corbs, she left them the further sum of twenty
shillings in lieu of the same.
Item - She left unto her daughter Margret's children her part of the cash in
Wm Cannell's land equally betwixt them.
Item - To Doll:Calister three shillings.
Item - To the witnesses two shillings each.
And lastly - She nominated and appointed her daughter Margt Quayle als Clark
sole executrix of all the rest of her goods moveable and immovealbe
whatsoever.

At a Chapter Court holden at KK Michael Nov 9th 1752-
John Quayle husband of the executrix within mentioned is sworn for payment
of debts and legacies according to law and hath given pledges namely Thos
Cain Ballalheii and John Corjeage both of KK Michael. Probatum est
Ro:Radcliffe and Matths Curghey.
14th Nov 1753 - John Sayle husband of the within named Joney Sayle als Clark
acknowledges to have received from John Quayle his mother in law's executor
the sum of sixteen pounds, a bed with half the shaped cloathes of the
deceased as also a cow bequeathed to his son Henry and to be fully paid and
satisfyed for corbs and all goods or legacies bequeathed him or his wife or
children by the testatrix and hereby exonerates and acquits the said Quayle
and his executors forever of the same.   Before Me    Ja:wilks Ep. Reg.
Eod:died.  And for the forthcoming of the legacys due of twenty shillings to
each of his children according to the will of the deceased - as also for
forthcoming of the cow with her increase for the use of his son Henry said
John Sayle hath given pledges namely John Quayle aforesaid and Thos Key -
Oct 18 1765 - John Sayle and Hen:Killey husband of Christian Sayle also the
grandchildren of the testatrix acknowledge to have received from their
father John Sayle the sum of twenty shillings each in full of the legacies
due them by the last will of their said grandmother and hereby acquit and
discharge their said father and all others of the same. Witness their hand.

Decr 24 1766 John Sayle and Hen Killey two of the administrators of Henry
Sayle acknowledge that said Henry and receipt of cow bequeathed unto him by
the executor before his death and hereby acquits discharges John Sayle their
father of the same.  Witness their name  John Sayle and Hen Killey his X.

KK Michael Decr 29 1766 - Wm Caine husband of Joney Sayle and Thos Sayle two
of the grandchildren of Christian Clark and two of the administrators of
Hen. Sayle late deceased acknowledge to have received from their father John
Sayle all and every the goods and chattels due unto them respectively as
well by the last will and testament of their said grandmother as by the
death of their said brother Henry Sayle and hereby acquit and discharge
their said father his executors and administrators of the same.  Witness
their marks to their names.
