ALICE CANNELL BRADDAN WILL 1753-2 LDS Film No. 0106381 Douglas May 28 1752 Alice Daughter of Will'm Cannell of the Town of Douglas having certain goods & challtes due unto her by the Decease of her mother Mary Cannell als Christian as appears by her Decree of Administration & Inventory annexed, on the Ep. Reg. in Lib'ro I'ano 1736 departed this Life on or about the year 1743 Intestate. The Court upon Intelligence thereof Decrees her only Brother John Cannell sole Admin'r of all her goods & Effects moveable & immoveable what soever- who being a seafaring-man & having given a power of Attorney to his kinsman John Christian to act in his behalf within this life- he the Sd Christian is therefore sworn pursuant to Sd power dated 14th Dec 1752 in trust for Sd John Cannell to bring to the Registry a perfect inventory & , as also for paymt of Debts according to Law. Pledges are Willm Graham & Mr. John Taubman Solvit 5..0 Decretum est Ro: Radcliffe Matth Curghey [Page 2] At a Consistory Court in KK [Buikl ?] Feb 14 1753 Whereas the Goods Chattels & Effects of Alice Cannell of Douglas, who dyed Intestate were ___ on the 28 May 1753. Decreed solely unto her Brother John Cannell who was then abroad, & Administration of the same Comitted unto John Christian by virtue of a power of Attorney date 14 Dec'r 1752, had from the sd John cannelll, who on the 8th Inst. revoked the sd power, & being now desirous to Admionister the goods of his sd sister. He the sd Cannell is therefore sworn for payment of Debts according to Law & hath- given pledges namely Mr. Thos. Fargher of Malew & Joseph Cannell of Peeltown Ro: Radcliffe Matth Curghey To be annexed to the Decree of Alice Cannell in Lib: 2'd 1753
