22          Jurby
The last will and testament of William Kermod 
Jurby who departed this life about the 22th 
December 1753, being of perfect mind and memory 
at the making of it.  
First he commited his soul to God and his 
body to a Christian burial.  
Itm, he left to his son Wm Kermod twenty shillings 
besides his mother’s goods.  
Itm, he left to his grandchild Joney Quay ten shillings.  
Itm, he left to his grandchild Margt Quay en shillings.  
Lastly, he constituted and appointed his daughter 
Isabel Quay als Kermod sole Executrix of all the rest 
of his goods moveable and immoveable whatsoever.  
To the witnesses of this will he left six pence apiece.

                     At a Court of Correction at 
                     KK Michael, Feb: 13th 1754
The executrix sworn in Court in form of Law and 
hath pledges for payment of debts and legacies, 
namely Wm Corlet & Robt Brew the witnesses of the Will.  
Probatum est, Solvit 12d

Decr 12, 1755
William Kermod son of the within Testator acknowledges 
to have received from his brother in law William Quay 
the sum of twenty shillings and all the goods due by the 
death of his mother, & hereby acquits and discharges the 
said Wm Quay and all others forever for the same. 
This before me, Matths Curghey
