7     Malew
The last will and testament of John Oates of the parish 
of KK Malew who departed this life the 22nd of December 
1754, being at perfect mind and memory at the making 
thereof. He committed his soul to God and his body to a 
Christian burial. 
Item, he bequeathed unto Mrs. Margaret Stole a silk handkerchief. 
Item, he left his stepfather John Knickal whole executor 
of all the rest of the goods moveable and immoveable whatsoever, 
debarring all friends and relations of with six pence legacy 
that claims any right. 
Witness: 
Nicholas Caine. 

At a Consistory Court at 
Castletown February 18th, 1755, 
the executor is sworn in Court in form of Law and 
hath given pledges for payment of debts and legacies 
namely, Phil Quilliam and Nicholas Caine the witness
