TEAR, Ann 1755-1 Rus A 10 0106221 10 Rushin 1755 The last Will and Testament of Anne Tear who departed this life the 9th day of February Anno pradut. Imprs, She commended her Soul to God and her body to Christian burial. Itm, She bequeathed to Alice Costain the sum of forty shillings. Itm, She bequeathed to Catharine Costain three yards of fine linen. Itm, She bequeathed a pot to Jane Gawn. Lastly She nominated, constituted and appointed Alice Costain als Gawn sole Execx of all the rest of her goods moveable & immoveable. She declared John Keig the younger ow’d her the sum of seven shillings. That Jane Creech ow’d her twelve shillings. That Thomas Cubbon ow’d her ten shillings. All this she utter’d and declared in the presence of us, John Corrin Joney Gell Jurati. The Court of Correction at Castletown, Feb: 19th 1755: John Costean husband of the Execrx mentioned in the above will is sworn Execr in form May 28th 1777: I John Hutchin husband of Alice Costean do hereby acknowledge to be fully paid the sum of forty shillings the same being a Legacy bequeathed my sd wife by the last will & Testamt of Ann Tear & I do hereby acquit release & discharge the Execr of sd Ann Tear of sd Legacy of forty shillings witness my mark to my name ye day & date above written, John Hutchin his X mrk.
