I William Tear of Peeltown, being sick and weak in body, but of perfect and
sound mind and memory, do make this my last will and testatment in manner
following:
Item:  I leave my soul to God and my body to Christian burial, to be
decently interred in the church yard of St Patrick's of Jurby at the
direction and ordering of Capt Thomas Gawn and John Tear of Carlane. Item:
I leave and bequeath to my sister Alice Caine als. Tear the sum of 3 pounds
and the said 3 pounds to fall and descend to her daughter Ellinor in KK
Michael after her my said sister's decease.
Item:  To my two nephews David and William Caine a crown each.
Item:  To my cousin Margaret Tear of the Carlane, widow, a table silver
spoon to remain and continued as an heirloom in the Carlane House after her
decease.
Item:  To her son and heir John Tear my silver buckles and 20 shillings
together with my best suit of clothes.
Item:  To his three brothers Thomas, William and Richard Tear 20 shillings
each.
Item:  To my cousin Silvester Tear my black suit  of clothes and 20
shillings.
Item:  To my cousin Thomas Tear of BallaMoaney my gray suit and light wig.
Item:  To my niece Deborah Waterson als Tear 5 pounds with a bed and bed
clothes.
Item:  To my cousin Elizabeth Gawn als. Robinson als. Cain two silver
tablespoons and tea tongs. I confirm my right of the cow to Alice Cooile as
before granted and also a crown and my ----.
Item:  To John Addy 20 shillings.
Item:  To my cousin Mary Teare at Ballatear my silver ----.
Item:  To the Revd William Radcliffe, Vicar General, my best hat.
Item:  To my cousin Capt. Thomas Gawn my part of the ----.
Item:  To Revd William Brew, curate of German, my second best wig. Item:  To
my wife half a guinea and the benefit and profit of the houses during her
natural life and after her decease to fall as hereafter mentioned and
bequeathed.
Item:  To my cousin Edward Gawn at Ballagawn all my houses and gardens in
Peeltown with all appurtenances thereunto belonging, he paying fifty pounds
unto my executor hereafter mentioned when the settlement and agreement made
between my wife and me bearing date the 9th February 1756 has got the proper
sanction and secured according to Law.
Lastly, I constitute, nominate, and appoint my cousin Capt. Thomas Gawn of
Ballagawn and John Tear of the Carlane, whole and sole executors of all the
rest of my goods and effects moveable and immoveable whatsoever.  In
testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 29th day of May
