JOGHIN, Mary 1756-2 And CLEATER A 43 010622 The last Will and Testam't of Mary Joughin als Cleater of KK Andreas made above Testam't months ago being of Sound Mind and Memory at ye Making [thereof] Imp's She committed her Soul to God & body to Xtian burial Itt She left to her daughter Catharine Six pounds ___ the bed s'd Catharine lay on w'th its clothes all her shaped linen & Woollen clothes except a petticoat she left to her Daughter Bahee & a coif to her child; and her old Gown to John Radcliffe's wife. She also left a speckled stuff petticoat to her Grand child Anne. Itt She further left to her fore'sd Daughter Catharine the yarn for stuff that was then in the house. And whatever [Boasts] were named upon her children they are to enjoy ye same w'th out further dispute, & they also are to enjoy all other goods that were named upon them Itt She left to her Daughter Anne Twenty shillings and the bed whereon she & husband lay she left to him- self w'th the clothes belonging thereto. And left Six pence Legacy to any y't can claim further rights to her goods. Itt A [night] or two before her decease she told Thomas Cormoad, one of the Witnesses, that her s'd Daughter Ca- tharine is to have her part of ye stuffs in s'd Cormoads Loom, her part of the fine thread y't hung upon ye pin her part of the [dressings] that was already made, and her [Shoes] Lastly She Nominated and Appointed her son Andrew Sole & lawful Exec'r of all ye rest of her goods movable & Unmovable whatsoever. She left to her daught'r Bahee a pottle of barley B. At the making of the above Will, Charles Joughin ye husband consented to let his Son have his part of ye purchased land he paying ye consideration y't ye same cost. Witnesses {Will'm Sayle } {Tho. Cormoad }Jurati At a Chapter Court at Lezayre June 15th 1756 The Exec'r is sworn in Court in form of Law & had given pledges for paym't of Debts & legacies namely Wm. Sayle & Tho Cormoad the Witnesses of the Will. Charles Joughin has given his consent in court as more fully expressed in the within Will on Consideration thereof Solvit 12d Probatum est Ro. Radcliffe Matth's Curghey Transcribers Note: On Jan. 7th 1757 Charles Joughin acknowledges that his son Andrew has paid him the fourty pounds to acquire rights to the purchased lands and discharges him from further obligation. He also acknowledges receipt of his Legacy from his wife.
