    Rushen 1757

    The Last Will & Testament of
Christian Gell als Qualtrough who departed 
this Life the 16th day of June 1757.

First - She commended her soul to Al-
=mighty God & her Body to Christian burial.
Likewise, she bequeathed to her relation Elizth
Qualtrough of Castletown ten shillings and a 
Bedsted.  -  Likewise she bequeathed to 
Margt the widow of Wm Qualtrough late of Castle-
=town her Ridinghood & a petticoat and the big-
-chist -  Likewise she bequeathed to Christian 
Waterson a small fir box for head cloaths. ------
Likewise she bequeathed to Eleanr daughtr of Henry
Gawn a pewter dish.  Likewise she bequeathed 
to Isabel Clucas als Farrant a petticoat.  ---

   Lastly she nominated and appointed Wm Clucas 
of this Parish sole Exer. of  all the rest of her Goods
Chattels & Effects moveable & immoveable, being a 
house & Garden, furniture & whatsoever else
she dyed possessed of, he seeing her decently 
buried & paying all her just Debts.

           At a Chapter Court at Castletown Oct 26th 17..(probably 57)
           The Exctr is sworn in Court in form of Law and
            hath given Pledges for payment of Debts and 
            Legacys - namely - Thomas Kermode & Richard
            Harrison the Witnesses of the Will.
