30, Douglas, Novr 25th 1756  
This is affirmed to be last will and testament of Mary Christian 
als Pollet of Douglas wife of Thos Christian being of perfect mind 
& memory at the present making threof.    
First She committed her soul to God and her body to Christian burial.     
Secondly She bequeathed to her daughter Alice all her wearing 
apparel, and whatever right she had to the concern she had at the shore.     
Thirdly, She left to her four sons vizt., Willm:, Philip, John and 
Daniel forty shillings to each.     
Lastly, She nominated her husband Thos Christian sole Exectr of all 
her goods & effects of what kind soever.
Witnesses present: 
John Kaighin, 
Dorothy Tear her mark X.

At Douglass Feb: 16th 1757: 
Dorothy Tear one of the subscribing witnesses to the above will 
hath deposed on the Holy Evangelists that Mary Christian the 
testatrix was of sound mind & memory when she declared the same 
as her last will & testamt & that she knows of no Testemt she 
has made to the contrary hereof.

At KK Michl Feb 19, 1757:  
John Kaighin junr the other subscribing witness to the above 
will of Mary Christian als Pollet has deposed by the Holy 
Evangelists that the --------hidden in fold at bottom of page] 
memory declared the same as her last will & testamt & that 
he knows of no other will -----[in fold & dark]


At a Consistory Court holden at Douglas 
June 8th 1757:  
Thos: Christian is sworn Execr in Court in form of Law, he 
is also to bring to the Registry a perfect Inventory & has 
given pledges for payment of debts and legacies according 
to Law, namely John Cubon of KK Marown & James Oates of 
Knockaberry in KK Braddan, with John Kelly of Bauldin miln in KK Marown.

June 8th 1757: 
John Wilson enters a claim agt the Exrs of Mary Christian 
als Pollet for the sum of £ 0 : 6 : 2and craves the Law.        
Exam’d per Matth: Curghey Ar: Regr.

At a Consistory Court holden at Douglas Feb 21st 1758: 
The Claimer having proved the sum of six shillings and 
two pence ordered that the Deads part thereof be 
discharged sub poena juris with all Fees.

An Inventory of the goods assets and effects whereof Thomas Christian 
and Mary his late wife were possessed of at the time of the death of 
the said Mary which happed the ---d 26th of Novr 1756 as they were 
appreazed by us who are a Jury sworn by the Sumner of Douglas in 
Virtue of the Vicar Gannerall Radcliffs Authority, which we hav 
accordingly appreazed and are as followes, this 18th Feb: 1757:
