85, Ramsey: 
This is affirmed to be the last will & testament of Jane 
Christian of Ramsey who departed this life on or about 
the 18th Novr 1758.   
First, She committed her soul to God & her Body to a 
Christian burial.     
Item, she left & bequeathed unto her daughter Margaret 
all what goods &c she had delivered unto her on her 
wedding day, together with twenty other shillings legacy.    
Item, She left & bequeathed unto her nephew John Christian 
(son to her daughter Margt) twenty shillings legacy.     
Item, She left & bequeathed unto her daughter Elizabeth 
Voast als Christian six pence legacy.    
Item, she left & bequeathed to her neece Ellinor Christian 
als Carney six pence legacy.     
Lastly, She nominated & appointed her loving & dutyfull 
daughter Alice Christian whole & sole Executrix of all 
the rest of her goods & effects moveable & immoveable 
or of what kind or nature soever.
Witnesses: 
John Cleator my mrk X, juratus 16th die Martii 1759
Ewan Kneale, juratus 6th die Martii 1759.

At a Chapter Court holden at Lezayre Novr 5th 1759:  
Alice Christian the Execrx herein named having survived 
the Testrx but dying before she undertook the Execution 
hereof, and the sd Alice having by her Will, duly proved, 
appointed Ellinor Christian Execrx, she the sd Ellinor 
is thereupon sworn Execrx of this Will in form of Law 
(her husband Dollin Christian being at present out of 
this Isle) and hath given pledges for payment of debts 
& legacies namely Capt Matths Christian of Ramsay & 
Capt Wm Christian of KK Maughold.
