1760 Rushen The last will and testament of Jony Skealey alias Kinveg of the Parish of Trinity Rushen who departed this life about the 21st July 1760. First She commended her soul to Almighty God and her body to Christian burial. Item She bequeathed to her daughter Edward Lawson's wife a petticoat and a cloak. Item She bequeathed to her grandaughter Isabel Lawson all the rest of her clothes both linen and woollen and likewise her right of the sheep and a little chest. Lastly She nominated constituted and appointed her loving husband John Skealey sole executor of all the rest of her goods moveable and immoveable whatsoever. Witnesses present Ann Waterson alias Christian X Jony Crebbin X At a Chapter Court holden at Castletown June 7th 1769 the executor is sworn in Court in form of Law and has given pledges for payment of debts and legacies, namely the Rev Mr Christian of Rushen and Robert Christian sumner of Arbory.
