This is affirm to be the last will and testament 
of Cæsar Brew of Castletown who departed this 
life the twenty first of March one thousand seven 
hundred and sixty one being in perfect mind and 
memory at the making thereof. 
First he committed his soul to God and his body 
to Christian burial.  
First: He left and bequeathed unto his loving wife 
Cathrine Brew all his concerns during her natural 
life she paying yearly and every year the interest 
out of the incumbrances upon the house.  
2ndly: He left and bequeath unto his son James Brew 
all his right and title of the before named premes 
to be possessed after the death or at the death of 
his said wife he paying unto his brother William  
three pound in order to send him to trade but if 
in case the said William should die before he would 
come to age that then and in that case the said 
three  pounds is to fall and descend to his sister Margaret.  
3rdly: He left and bequeathed unto his two daughters 
Jane and Ann two shillings and six pence, and six 
pence each to his son John daughter Mary.  
4thly: And lastly he constituted and appointed his 
said loving wife whole executrix of all the rest 
of his goods moveable and immoveable, of what kind 
or nature so ever.

The Executrix is sworn in Court in form of Law and 
hath given pledges for payment of debts and legacies 
vizt., John Woods & Robert Watleworth both of Castletown. 
The tuition of the children together with their 
goods are committed unto the mother.
