                                             Maughold

      Ewan Corkill  [Port League] of the parish of KK Maughold &
      Cath: Corkill otherwise Kneale his wife, being both of a good state of
      health and of Sound mind & perfect memory did make [their] Last
      Will and Testament on or about the 12th June 1761 in Manner following
First They both the sd. Ewan Corkill and sd. Wife did declare themselves
      in these words. The one to the other as their real Last Will. Viz that
      the Survivor of them Should enjoy all the Effects or Goods moveable
      & unmoveable whatsoever of either of them which God would be 
      pleased to call for; Leaving sixpence Legacy to every person
      that could in tend to have a right to any Such.

          At a Chapter Court holden at Lezayre June 7th 1762
The Testator having made no legal Provision for a Posthume
named Ewan, of the Widow having consented in Court that
[the] Posthume shall be Co -Execr. with her, the sd. Posthume
is therfore Decreed Co –Execr. within his mother Cath: Corkill
who is sworn to bring in a perfect Inventory to the Registry as
also for payment of Debts according to Law, she has also the
orphan & his goods comitted unto her whose maintenance
She has undertaken, & has given pledges in form of Law namely
Wm. Corkill Port Lewague in KK Maughold & Wm. Kneale of
Bartley of Lezayre
