77     Lezayre
This is affirmed to be the last will and testament 
of Edward Crow of the Nappin in the parish of KK 
Christ Lezaire who departed this life upon the 
2nd day of March 1763, being of perfect mind and 
memory at the making hereof at or upon the 27th 
February 1763. 
First, he committed his soul to God and his body 
to Christian burial. 
Item, he left his daughter Catrine Crow fourteen 
pounds which said sum of fourteen pounds was not 
to be paid to said Catrine Crow until she the said 
Catrine would arrive to the age of twenty and one 
years. 
Also he left to his said daughter a feather bed 
with bolster and quilt and all clothes as the 
bed then stood. 
Item, he left to his daughter Ann Crow the sum 
of thirteen pounds, which sum was not to be paid 
until she the said Anne would arrive to the age 
of twenty and one years. 
Item, he left to his son John Crow the sum of 
thirteen pounds which said sum was not to be 
paid to said John until he the said John Crow 
would arrive to the age of twenty and one years 
as aforesaid. 
Item, he left to his said three children, namely 
John, Catrine and Anne Crow one sheep apiece. 
Lastly he nominated and appointed his loving wife 
Elinor Crow als Cowl sole executrix of all the 
rest of his goods and effects moveable and 
immoveable whatsoever, and six pence apiece to 
the witnesses of this his last will. 
Witnesses: 
Thomas Corlett, 
Ewan Crow. 

At a Chapter Court holden at 
Lezayre 19th October 1763, 
the executrix is sworn in Court in form of Law and 
hath given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies, 
namely Thomas Corlet of the Druin and Ewan Crow, 
Sumner, both of Lezayre. 
John the son being underage, Ewan Crow, Sumner, one 
of the next of kin of the deceased is sworn supervisor, 
who consents that the said child underage with his 
goods be committed unto his mother the widow. 

May 1st 1775
I John Crow son of the within Testator Edward Crow 
do acknowledge to have received from my mother Ellinor 
Crow executrix of the last will and testament of 
my father Edward Crow the sum of thirteen pounds 
and a sheep the same being a legacy bequeathed me 
by the last will and testament of my said Father 
Edward Crow, and I do hereby acquit, exonerate and 
discharge my foresaid mother Ellinor Crow, her 
executors and administrators of said legacy. 
As witness my hand the day and date above written.

I Daniel Taggart husband of Cathrine Crow do acknowledge 
to be fully paid and satisfied the sum of fourteen 
pounds a legacy bequeathed my said wife Cathrine 
Crow by the will of her father Edward Crow as also 
a feather bed, bolster, quilts, all the clothes as 
on the bed stood as xxx, and I do hereby acquit the 
executor of my said father Edward Crow of said legacy 
and every part thereof as witness my mark to my 
name this 13th day 1779.
