7 Rushen 1764 The last Will and Testament of Jony Crebbin als Kinnish of the Parish of Trinity Rushen who departed this life the first day of February in the year one thousand seven hundreds and sixty four, being of sound mind and memory at the making hereof. First, she commended her soul to God and her body to Christian burial. Item, she left and bequeathed to her niece Isabel Kinnish a brown gown, a mantle, a while pledding petticoat, her every-gown, a sheet and ten shillings. Item, she left and bequeathed to her niece Catharine Harrison als Cubbon ten shillings which the said Catharine’s husband owed to the Testatrix’s husband. Item, she left and bequeathed to her nephew Thomas Cubbon to shillings and six pence. Item, she left and bequeathed to her nephew John Cubbon two shillings and six pence. Item, she left and bequeathed to her niece Elizth Waterson als Cubbon two shillings and six pence and a linen cap. Item, she left and bequeathed to her niece Alice Corcan als Cubbon to shillings and six pence. Item, she left and bequeathed to her niece Margt Waterson als Cubbon a new gown. Lastly, she nominated and appointed her loving husband Wm Crebbin sole Executor of all the rest of her goods moveable and immoveable. This she declared to be her last will & testament in presence of us: Thomas Woodworth, Isabel Nelson als Calister, jurati. Furthermore, she left and bequeathed to her sister in law Elizth Crebbin, a flannel petticoat and a chequer apron. Witnesses: Thomas Woodworth, Isabel Nelson als Calister, jurati. At a Court of Correction holden at Castletown Feb 15, 1764: The Executor is sworn in Court in form of Law and hath given pledges for payment of debts and legacies namely, Thomas Woodworth & Thomas Cottier both of Rushen.
