DOUGLAS

In the Name of God Amen, Sept 12th 1763
Whereas I  Catherine Alexander als. Cottier of Douglas being sick and weak in Body 
but of perfect mind and memory do make and appoint this my Last Will and Testament
In Manner and form following:
After having committed my Soul to God and Body to  Christian burial in hope of a  
Glorious Resurrection do make and appoint what worldly goods it hath pleased God 
to bless me with as following   viz.

I leave and bequeath to my dearly beloved husband James Alexander all my part of 
the concerns belonging to us in Douglas or elsewhere in the  Isle of Man to be 
disposed of according to his discretion

I also leave all my wearing apparel to my husband Js. Alexander except one gown 
one petticoat and one pair of stays to Jean Baye

I leave to any that may pretend to claim a right to this my will sixpence legacy.  
And do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my aforesaid Husband Jas. Alexander 
sole Executor of all my worldly goods moveable and immoveable.  Hereby revoking 
all other will or wills affirming this to only to be my last will and testament.

At a Chapter Court holden in Kirk Marown date 22nd  Oct 1764. 
The Exec. Is sworn in Court in form of Law and hath given pledges for payment of 
debts and legacies namely .Thomas Corrin   and Thos Cannel, the witnesses of the Will

	 And craves the law.
