Alice Cannell, 1765

The last will and testament of Alice Cannell of ballameanagh 
in Kirk Michael who departed this life the 25th of Aprill 1765
or thereabouts. First she committed her soul to God and body 
to Christian Buriall
She left nine shillings to her son Hugh Cannell 
She left to Mary the aforesd Hughs Eldest daughter her own 
Dominie 
She left twenty shillings to her daughter Joney Cannell 
Likewise a Beehive and her Little Wheel and some bags of fetten
that was in the house
She left to Jane Ouayle twenty shillings and the Bed that she 
laid upon. As she was finished and a black quilted pedicoat and a black 
gown and a little wheele and a sheep and a Lamb
She left to her dautr Joney and Jane Ouayle equally betwixt them 
all the rest of her Cloathes and the Linnen Yarn that was in the 
house 
She left to Alice Ouayle her wearing gown and a shift 
and to Mary Ouayle a shift and a pedicoat 
She left to Alice Cowley a Linnen Appron 
She left to her God Daughter in Knockbane a plane pedicoat 
She left a cap to Henry Killeys daughter
She left her son Patrick Cannell whole Exr of all the Rest of her 
Goods movable and immovable of What Nature or kind soever 
She left Six pence to the Witnesses of this will

The Execr is sworn in Court in form of Law and has given pledges for paymt 
of Debts & Legacies namely Thos Caine & John Quiggin the Witnesses of the

Kirk Michael Jany 6 1769 Hugh Cannell, Joney Cannell and Dollin Callister 
husband of Jane Quayle, acknowledge to have rcd from Patr Cannel 
Exr of the last will & testament of Alice Cannell all the legacies bequeathed 
unto them respectively by the sd Alice and hereby acquit & discharge the 
sd Ptr Cannell his Exrs & Admins of the same. Witness their mark 
to their names
