Rushen The last will and testament of John Cottier who departed this life about the 12th day of October in the year 1768. First He commended his soul to Almighty God and his body to Christian burial. Item: He bequeathed to his loving wife Margery Cottier als Waterson his part of the boat and all that belongs to the said part with netts buoys and buoy's straps. Item: He bequeathed to his grandson John Crebbin a sheep and a lamb. Item: He bequeathed to his daughter Elizabeth Cottier his half of the cupboard. Lastly He nominated, constituted and appointed his son Michael and his daughter Elizabeth Cottier joint executors of all the rest of his goods moveable and immoveable. Witnesses: John Moore X Richard Cooil X At a Chapter court holden at Castletown Nov 9 1768. The executors are sworn for payment of debts and legacies as also to be just the one to the other in the division of the goods. Pledges in form of law are the witnesses of the will.
