63        Patrick
In the name of God, amen. I Richard Clucas of 
BallaCharney in KK Patrick being now in declining 
years and in a feeble state but of sound and 
perfect mind and memory and considering the 
uncertainty of this mortal life do hereby make 
my last will and testament as in manner following. 
First, committing my soul to Almighty God and 
my body to Christian burial. 
2ndly, I leave and bequeath to my grandchild Amy 
Callister the just sum of thirty shillings. 
Item, I leave unto my son John Clucas all my 
shaped apparel both linen and woolen together 
with the sum of ten shillings which sum of ten 
shillings is to be put into the hands of my 
eldest son & heir William Clucas, he my said 
eldest son having also the further sum of six 
pounds four shillings & six pence already in his 
hands, which also is due and belongs to my said 
son John Clucas which sums aforesaid he my said 
eldest son is to have forever provided and on 
condition that my said eldest son & heir do 
oblige himself to maintain my said son John Clucas 
during his natural life and also bear his 
funeral charges. 
Lastly, I do nominate and appoint my loving son 
Philip Clucas to be whole and sole Executor of 
all the rest of my goods moveable and immoveable 
whatsoever and excluding any other person or 
persons whatsoever that may pretend to claim 
further right to my goods with six pence 
legacy apiece. In witness whereof I have hereunto 
set my mark to my name this 4th of April 1767.

At a Chapter Court holden at 
Peeltown 17th June 1768
The Executor is sworn in Court in form of Law and 
hath given pledges for the payment of the debts and 
legacies namely Richard Crellin & William Quine, 
both of KK Patrick, and whereas the Legatee John 
Clucas within mentioned who is insane to whom a 
legacy of six pounds fourteen shillings and six pence 
is bequeathed by his father the Testator & that 
William Clucas to whom the said legacy was left 
on conditions mentioned in the will could not 
accept thereof, but absolutely refused to do, 
the Executor Philip Clucas & the said William Clucas 
are sworn supervisors of the son John Clucas their 
brother is committed together with his legacy left 
to him as aforesaid to the said supervisors who 
have given pledges the above mentioned Richard 
Crellin & William Quine
