3 B[raddan] This is affirmed to be the [last will and testatment of] Leonora Lawson als Cu[bbon ....] of the town of Douglas [who departed this life the] 30th day of Novr 1768 bei[ng of perfect mind & memory] at the makeing hereof. First She committed her Sout of God and Body to [christian] burial. Secondly she left and Bequeathed to her two children [Richard] & Thos Lawson twenty shillings each and if either of sd children was to die that the twenty shillings bequeathed him is to fall to their father. Thirdly She left sixpence to all lawfull claimers. Fourthly and Lastly She nominated and appointed her loving husband whole & sole Executor of all the rest of her goods and effects moveable and imoveable of what kind or nature soever, in wittness hereof we the subscribing witnesse have hereunto sett our marks to our names this wwnd of Feby 1769 John McConel my X mark } William Christian my X mark } jurati> At a Court of Correction holden at Ball ny Kowin 28th Feb 1769 The Exectr is sworn in Court in form of law & hath given pledges for the paymt of debts & legacies names Robt Quirk of Douglas & Wm Christian one of the witnesses both of Douglas. Thos Cubbon of Peeltown uncle of .. Richd the only surviving child who is under age is sworn superviosr who has consented that the goods belonging to sd child shall remain in the father's hands.
