                   2    Lonan
  This is affirmed to tbe the Last Will Testament of Jo[hn]
Lawson of KK Lonan who Departed this Life about the [7th] 
of Decr 1769 being then sick & weak in Body but of per[fect]
mind and memory at the making thereof. First commiting his [soul]
to God & body to Chritian Burial as to his wordly Goods & e[ffects]
he bequeathed them in manner following.
He left and bequeathed to his son Thomas Lawson fifteen
shillings. Item He left and bequeathed to his daughter Jane
Lawson fifteen shillings. And also he left six pence Legacy
to any Person or Persons that would claim any Rights to h[is]
effects hereafter.
   And Lastly he nomenated and appointed his loving [wife]
Anne Lawson als Fargher whole & sole Executrix of all [the]
rest of his Goods Effects & Chattles moveable and immoveable [of]
what kind or nature soever.

to the above Will further say and declare that Ann Lawson
als Fargher wife of the Decd John Lawson agreed ...
Consented at the time of making the above Will
that half the Croft wherein they Liv'd should be settled ..
her eldest son Thos Lawson to be possesed ......
of fifteen shilling bequeathed ..... him
on that account.

At a Court of Correction holden at Douglas Feb 13 1770
The Execrx is sworn in Court in form of Law she also
undertakes the Tuition of the Decds part of the Children
& has given pledges for payment of Debts & Legacies
according to Law namely John Quayle the witness & Robt
Lawson both of Kk Lonan - the sd Robt Lawson & Willm
Lawson uncles to the orphans by the father's side are
sworn supervisors in form of Law.
