In the name of God Amen I Margaret Parr widow of Laxey in the
Parish of KK Lonnan who am now in my Declining years & sick in
Body but yet of Sound Disposing mind & memory. And well
conceiving the uncertainties of this Transitory Life Do for avoiding
all controversies after my Decease make Declare and Publish
this my last Will & Testament in manner and form following

First I commend my Soul to God that Gave it And my Body
I committ to the Earth and as concerning all such worldly Effects
as it hath pleased God to possess me with I Give, bequeath and
Dispose thereof as followeth. Imprimis I Give & bequeath
the feather Bed whereon I lay to my Grand son Tho's McDonnell
Item I Give & bequeath a long Table cloth to my Grand Daughter
[Sally] Sophia McDonnell. Item I Give & bequeath Forty shillings
w'ch is Due to me from Nich's Kinnish Together with my part
of five Pounds Due to me from William Moore & John Moore as
appears by a Jury verdict to be Equally between my Two Daughters
viz't Marg't [Nisse] & Isabel McDonnell Item I Give & bequeath
a little wheel to my Grand Daughter [Solbury] Sophia McDonnell Item
I give & bequeath the [Racke] to my Daughter [Nisse] Item 
I give & bequeath the sheets & bed clothes with the best Two
chests, pots skils and a frying pant Together with the candlesticks
pewter a craft [shellis] and a large Kitchen Table Equally
between My said Daughters Marg't Nysse & Isabel
McDonnell Item I give & bequeath my part of the sheep to
my son John Parr and the issue of them to be between my
Two Daughters Marg't Nisse & Isabel McDonnell to be
such time as my s'd son returns to the Island and if so then
he doth not return to the Island within three or four years
much after my Decease that then the said sheep are to be my
s'd two Daughters Goods forever afterwards Item I Give
& bequeath a black Gown w'ch I wear every Day with a blew
flannel Peticoat a Red Gown waiscoat I __ shifts to
Isabel Corlett Item I give & bequeath ____ ___ __
to my Daughter McDonnell.

Item I Give and bequeath three Guineas w'ch is Due to me
from Nich's Kinnish to my Grand Daughter Marg't __

Item I Give & Bequeath a bed stead to my Daughter Isabel
Item I Give & bequeath the Kitchen Table my Daughter McDonnell
Item I give & bequeath Two roun'd chairs with a back Chair to be Equally
between my s'd Two Daughters Marg't Nisse & Isabel Mc
Donnell. Item I Give & bequeath an English shilling
to my Daughter Mary [Statia] I further leave & bequeath
six pence legacy to any person or persons that can or may
claim any Right to my Effects after my Decease and all
the rest and residue of my Goods & chattles whatsoever after my funeral 
Charges and expenses are paid & Discharged
I give & bequeath unto my Dutiful Grand Daughter
Marg't Withum. And I do hereby nominate constitute
and appoint my said Grand Daughter Marg't Withum to be full sole
and absolute Executrix of this my last will & Testament hereby
revoking disannulling and making void all other wills by me
at any time heretofore made and this only to be my last will
and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my
name to my mark this 11th July 1771

Thomas Withum husband of Marg't Withum is sworn
Exec'r in court in form of Law & hath given Pledges for
the payment of Debts & legacies he is also to bring to
the Registry an inventory of the __ bequeaths and John
__ __ The Witnesses of the Will

Transcribers Note: There followed many pages of Inventory and a Petition by 
Thomas Withum that the inventory does not cover the debts of Margaret Parr
and asks to be allowed to sell some of the Legacies to make payment.
