This is affirmed to be the Last will & testament of Mary Creer alias Christian of Cleaps in the parish of KK Onchan She being in perfect mind & memory at the making hereof First she committed her Soul to God and her body to Christian Burial and Disposed of her Worldly Goods in manner following Secondly She willd & bequeathed to her Daughter Mary the sum of twelve pounds with a feather bed and Cloaths to fit Thirdly She willd and bequeathed to her daughter Margaret the Sum of Twelve pounds with a feather bed and Cloaths to fit Fourthly she willd and bequeathed to her son John the one half of the Crop and team with the one half of all their husbandry gears Likewise she willd and bequeathed to her said son John one half of the intacks belonging to the said Estate Likewise her husband Robert Creer jointly gives his Consent to the Said will to settle the Intacks upon the said Estates and that she directed that her said son John is not to Enjoy or have any benefit of the said bequest until is come to the age of one and twenty years Fifthly She willd and Bequeathed to her son Robert the sum of Five Pounds to put him to a trade. Sixthly She willd and Bequeathed to his son Thomas the sum of Five Pounds to send him to a traid and her husband Robert Creer is to send the said too Sons to Good Education. Seventhly She willd and bequeathed to her daughters viz Mary & Margaret all her sheaped apparel equally between them. Lastly she nominated and appointed her loving husband Robert Creer to be her whole & sole executor of all the Demands of her Goods & Effects of what nature soever. Witnesses present Daniel Quayle his + Thomas Christian Jurati At a Chapter Court holden at Douglas 15th October 1773 The Executor is sworn in Court in form of Law & have given pledges for payment of Debts & legacies namely Thomas & John Christian Uncles to the Children by the mother’s side who are likewise sworn Guardians & Supervisors of Robert & Thomas the Children under age who by the Consent of the Supervisors are committed with their goods to the tuition of their father who has consented in Court that the Intacks & lands mentioned in the within written will shall ?????? of to his eldest son as stated and pursuant to sd will Solvit Probatum Est Ja Wilks Joh Moore At Douglas 3rd January 1784 I John Clucas of KK Braddan Shoemaker husband of Mary Daur of the testatrix & one of the Legatees named in the written will do hereby acknowledge to be fully paid the sum of twelve pounds and the feather bed and cloaths & also the moiety of the shaped apparel bequeathed unto my said wife in & by the sd will and I do therefore hereby acquit Exonerate & Discharge the Exot his Exors admnrs & assigns from the sd Legacies. As witness my hand John Clucas Before me Richd Clge Epl Reg Whereas Mary Creer the wife of Robert Creer of Clepps in the parish of KK Onchan having by her last will in which she Left & bequeathed the half of the Cropp & team to her Eldest son John Creer & the said John Creer being now at age doth with the consent of his guardians Thomas Christian & John Christian hereby agree to and with his said father Robert Creer that he the said John Creer his heir Executors Admnrs and signs is to have and to get the sum of twelve pounds in lieu of said half cropp & team aforesaid to be paid at the time of payment mentioned in aforesaid will or otherwise he is to have the half of the cropp and the half of the team which will happen to be when the said Estate at the time of payment aforesaid at his option and for the true and faithfull performance per of this the said parties do hereby bind themselves their and each of their heirs exrs admnrs and assigns in & under the penalty of twenty pounds to be levied & paid according to Law as witness their subscriptions dated the 8 day of February 1774 Witnesses present Robt Creer his x mk Wm ???????? John Creer his x mk John Creer his x mk John Christian his x mk Thos Christian his x mk At Douglas Feb 8 1774 Rob Creer John Creer John Christian & Thos Christian acknowledged the above agreemt as their Act & Deed Before me Ja Wilk Joh Moore 17th March 1785 I Edward Christian husband of Margaret one of the Legatees mentioned in the last Will of Mary Creer of KK Onchan do acknowledge to be fully paid the sum of twelve pounds & the feather Bed & bed Cloaths & also the shaped apparel bequeathed my sd wife in and by the sd will and I do hereby acquit Exonerate & discharge the execr Robt Creer & every other person for the sd Legacies.
