This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Catherine Christian
widow of the parish of Kirk Michael who departed this life sometime in
or about the month of Feb last 1774.  She being of sound mind and memory at
the making and declaring thereof.
First she committed her soul to God and her body to Christian burial.
Item  - To her daughter Catherine the wife of Wm Cannell she left her
black gown and domingo.
Item -  To the daughter in law Anne the wife of her son John Christian
she left her blue gown.
Item -  To her own daughter (Anne) the wife of John Cottier she left a
feather bed.
Item  - To her son William she left a coverlet.
Item - To her granddaughter Anne Cannell she left a gown and a petticoat to
her granddaughter Elizabeth Christian and to her grand daughter Margaret
Craine she left her cloak and the rest of her things which the witnesses
understood to be her clothes.
She left to her above named two grand daughters Anne and Elizabeth

Item she left seventeen shillings that were  the hands of her sister
Molly to her daughter Margaret the wife of James Craine but the said
seventeen shillings to be hers after the decease of her said sister Molly
and  she the testatrix said that whatsoever belonged to her in the house or
custody of her son John Christian to remain so, and in like manner
whatsoever belonged to her in the house or custody of her son in law Wm
Cannell to remain with him likewise.
And she nominated her son John Christian to be her executor and in case he
said son would not accept thereof then he son in law Wm Cannell to be her
executor.
And ten pence a piece to the witnesses.

The Executor is sworn in court in form of law and hath given pledges for the
payment of debts and legacies namely Wm Cannel and Philip ----
both of KK Michael
