At a Consistory Court holden at KK Michael Mar 16 1774 Thomas Creer of the parish of KK Maughold departed this life on or about the 3rd day of Feb last intestate. The court upon intelligence theroef hath decreed his two children namely Wm and Thos Creer joint administrator of all this good and chattels whatsoever, the children being both under age Samuel Corkill their uncle by the father's side is sworn supervisor and by his consent the dead's part of the children and their goods is committed to the tuition of Elizabeth Creer the widow, who is sworn to bring a perfect inventory to the Registry as also for payment of debts and has given pledges in form of law namely Wm Quayle (cooper) of Lezayre and said Samuel Corkill of KK Maughold. Decretum Est James Wilks and John Moore. 24 May 1789 Elizabeth Creer wife of the intestate acknowledge to have this day received from Samuel Corkill uncle of the children within named all the goods and effects that fell due to the said children by the decree of their father Thomas Creer and hereby exonerated acquits and discharges the said Samuel Corkill his heirs and assigns of the same and every part thereof.
