    In the name of God Amen. For as much as it is appointed all
    men once to die I Catherine Sayle alias McYlcarane wife
    of Christopher Sayle of Balla Churry in the parish of
    KK Andreas while I am of sound mind & memory do, to pre=
    vent future Disputes if possible, make and declare this
    my last Will and Testament. First I commit my Soul to
    God who gave it, and my Body to Christian Burial and
    my wordly effects I dispose of in the folowing manner, viz:
Imprimis I leave and bequeath to my beloved husband my part of a
    parcel of meadow ground known & called by the name of Close
    hom during his natural life.
Item I leave and bequeath to my son & Heir William Sale my part of a stear
    or young bullock together with my part of the hudbandry
    implement and als one shilling British as legacy.
Item I leave to my daughter Margaret whatever money belong=
    ing to me remains in her own hands together with a
    little wheel.
Item I leave to my daughter Isabel the sum of thirty pounds.
Item I leave to my sons-in-law William Radcliffe & John Sayle
    whatever goods or money belonging to me are in their own
    hands.
Item I leave & bequeath to my Friend & loving kinsman the Revd
    Thomas Corlett vicar of Lezayre my part of a parcel of Mea=
    :dow Ground called & known by the name of Close-Hom to be 
    possessed by him immediately after the death of my said
    husband Chrisopher Sayle. He the said Thomas Corlett pay=
    :ing the next sum of forty pounds Manks currency as soon
    as he posseses the above mention'd parcel of Meadow Ground
    in the following manner viz. ten pounds to my daughter
    Alice Radcliffe ten pounds to my daughter Catherine Sayle
    ten pounds to my aughter Esther Kneale and the other
    ten pounds to my two grad daughters Joney & Anne Kee
    equally between the - reservig the quantity of twenty

    yards long & one yard wide yearly for six years to be cut in
    turff for the use of my daughter Isabel above mentioned pro=
    vided she lives single - the said Isabel to be under the restict=
    :ion of not cutting more than three turffs deep.
Item I leave to my son John my part of whatsoever sum of money
    he has alread taken bonds for in his own name from Ro:
    :bert Corlett now deceased and Standish Christian both of Lezayre
    together with whatever sum of money belonging to me may
    be in his own hands - as also a feather bed & bolster two
    blankets one rug, sheet & quilt with the bedstead that now
    stands in the room over the kitchen.
Item I leave to my grandson William the son of William Radcliffe
    the sum of twenty shillings.
Item I leave to the poor of the parish ten shillings.
Item I leave to the witnesses of this my last will five shillings
    British each
Lastly I constitute and appoint my loving son-in-law Patrick
    Kneale & Esther his wife sole Execrs of all the residue of
    my goods & effects of what kind, nature or denomination so
    ever. In witness whereof I have set my mark to my name
    this twenty fourth day of April in the year of our Lord one
    thouand seven hundred and seventy three

         At a Consistory Court holden at KK Michael Mar. 10 1774
    Chas: Sayle and Patrick Kneale subscribing witnesses to
    the beforegoing Will have deposed on the holy Evangelists
    that the Testatrix Cath: Sayle being of sound and

    disposing mind memory & understanding declared and
    signed the before going paper writing as her last Will & Testatment, as
    also that they repeatedly after had conversation wit the
    Testatrix & that she declared herself well satisfied & pleased
    with what she had done with this further addition
    that it was her mind & desire that her daughter Isabel
    should have a cow and Thos: Sayle one of the
    witnesses declares further, that after meeting the 
    Testatrix about the middle of Harvest last she again
    repeated her being well pleased with the Will she had
    made to which he the sd Sayle was witness, & at the
    same time mentd her desire that her daughter
    Isabel should have a cow as legacy - and the said
    deponts further declare that this paper writing was
    repeatedly rad to the sd Testarix beofe the signing
    thereof

               At a Consistory Court holden at
               KK Michael March 10 1774
     John Sayle one of the sons of the Testrx having made
    some objection to the validity of this Will & several
    Witnesses having been sworn & examined in consequence
    of his objection which appear to be altogether
    groundless the Court upon hearing all Parties
    Decrees for the validity of sd Will, and thereupon
    Patrick Kneale is sworn Execr in Court in form
    of law & has given pledges for payment of debts &
    legacies namely Thos: Sayle & Patr: Kneale he witnesses
    of the Will
