51      Rushen 1775
The last will and testament of Christian Kermod als Quork
of the parish of KK Christ Rushen who departed this life
about the 24th day of April 1775, being of sound mind and
memory at the making hereof.
First, she commended her soul to Almighty God and her body
to Christian burial.
Item, she bequeathed to her son William Kermod a blanket
and a coverlet.
Item, she bequeathed to her granddaughter Anne Taggart a
gray gown (the best she had).
Item, she bequeathed to Margaret Quayle a red petticoat.
Item, she bequeathed to William Taggart her grandson
twelve shillings and three pence.
Item, she bequeathed to her daughter Jane Taggart als
Kermod a striped gown.
Lastly, she nominated, constituted and appointed her
loving daughter Eleanor Hutchin als Kermod to be sole
executrix of all the rest of her goods and money,
moveable and immoveable whatsoever and cuts all claimers
off with six pence legacy each.

Castletown June 9th, 1776
Paul Hutchen husband of the executrix is sworn in Court
in form of Law and hath give pledges for payment of debts
and legacies namely the witnesses of the will
