KK Conchan At a Court of Correction holden } at Douglas June 7th 1775} Mary Cannon (spinster) departed this life on or about the 24th day of May last past Intestaten & Publication having been made three times in open Courtto knowwhether any of her next relations wouldappeartake out Letters of Administration of her Effects & none of them having appeared to that end. The Court therefore for the Presrvation of the Rights of Creditors & of all concerned hath committed administation of the goods & chattels of the the decd to John Cannell one of her principal creditors, who is thereupon sworn justly & honestley to administer the same, to pay all her just debts so far as the goods will extend & the Laws shall bind, to return a perfect Inventory to the Registry & to be accountable to the Court for his admintn when thereunto required.
