The last will and testament of John Sayle of Shylage in the parish of KK
Michael who departed this life the fifteenth day of February in the year of
our Lord 1776.  Being in sound perfect mind and memory at the makeing hereof
are as follows:
First - He commited his soul to God and his body to Christian burial.
Item - He leaves to his daughters Ellinor and Jane Sayle Thirty Shillings
each. 
Item - He leave to his son Wm Sayle thirty shillings and his best blew coat.
Item - He leave to his daughter Ann Kelly als Sayle thirty shillings and
part of what was possessed her.
Item - He leaves to his daughter Joney Caine als Sayle twelve shillings of
what was in her hands before.
Item - He leaves to her husband Wm Caine aplideing wast coat.(clerk's
spelling).
Item - He leaves to his son Thos Sayle the rest of his shaped aparrell and
wollen.
Item - He leaves to the wittnesses of the will one shilling each.
Lastly - He nominated and appointed his loveing wife Joney Sayle als Clark
whole executrix of all the rest of his goods and effects moveable and
immoveable of what nature or denomination soever and debares other persons
claimeing any further right to his goods or effects with six pence legacy.

Will Proved June 18, 1776.

We Patrick Kelly, husband of Anne Sayle; William
Caine husband of Joney Sayle; John Gelling, husband of Ellinor Sayle; and
William Sayle and Thomas Sayle of the parish of Kirk Michael do acknowledge
to have received from Judith Sayle, the executrix of John Sayle of Skyhlage,
deceased, the several legacies bequeathed as respectively specified by said
John Sayle's will and we do hereby acquit, release and discharge the said
Executrix, Judith Sayle, of said legacies the 22nd day of November 1780.
November 22, 1780.  Patrick Kelly, William Caine, John Gelling, William
Sayle and Thomas Sayle acknowledge the above discharge to their respective
legacies.
