CORTEEN, John 1776-3 Mau E d 0106394 Decree of John Corteen 1776-3 Maughold Ramsey At a Chapter Court holden at } Lezayre Nov'r 13th 1776 } John Corteen departed this Life on or about the 23d Day of June last past Intestate - The Court upon Intelligence thereof hath Decreed his three Children namely Margaret, Christian & John Corteen joint Adm'rs of all his Goods and Chattels movable and immovable whatever And John being of too tender years to be sworn adm'or, he & his Goods are committed to the Tuition of Marg't & Christian afores'd who are sworn duly to Administer the Goods of their Intestate to pay all his just Debts so far as the Goods will extend & the Law shall bind & to return a perfect Inventory to the Registry & have given Pledges in Form of Law Viz't Edward Corteen their Uncle & Rob't Kelly of KK Maughold Decretum est Solv: 2s7d Ja: Wilks Joh: Moore Jan'ry 14th 1777 George Lace enters a Claim ag'st the Adm'rs of the Effects of John Corteen dec'd for the Sum of £0-1-8 Bri. & craves the Law Ev: Christian Ep: reg'r John Crosby Do 2-12-0 Transcribers Note (J Smith): The Inventory was appraised by John Kneen, John Bailey, Daniel Sayle and Thomas Cowley after being sworn in by David Kinread the Sumner of KK Maughold
