This being the last Will and Testament of Anne Cottier als
Christian of Kk German who departed this life about 13th
November  1776 being of sound and perfect mind and memory
And making  making hereof as follows:
Committing her soul to Almighty God and her body to 
Christian Burial
She left to her daughter Anne Cottier the big Chist [Chest] and all
Her shaped clothes both linen and woollen. And her part of the 
Household furniture after her father's decease
She by and with the consent of her husband John Cottier left 
their whole lands both Quarter land and Intack Land unto her 
son Sillvester Cottier after her father the said John Cottier decease.  
He the said John Cottier holding and enjoying the lands during 
his natural life, and Immediatley after his decease the said 
lands should devolve and descend unto thie said son Sillvester 
Cottier for ever. He their said son Sillvester Cottier paying 
out of the whole lands aforesaid (belonging to his said parents) 
the just sum of thirty pounds when he possesseth the premises) 
which is to be paid as follows to the rest of her children. Viz;   
to her said  daughter Anne the just sum of Two and Twenty pounds.  
And to her four sons namely John, Wm. Henry & James Cottier Forty 
shillings apiece.
Finally she nominated and appointed her loving husband John Cottier 
to be whole and sole Executor of all the rest of her goods moveable 
and immoveable of what nature so ever and excluding any other 
person or persons that might pretend to claim further right to her 
goods with six pence legacy apiece.

I John Cottier afforsaid do hereby give my Consent along with 
my said wife as above mentioned  did leave him my said son Sillvester 
Cottier my portion moiety of the said lands after my decease.  
In witness hereof I have hereunto made my mark to my name this 
30th Nov 1776

The Executr. is sworn in Court  in form of Law and his consent of his 
part of the lands shal devolve to his son Silvester as more fully 
expressed in the ?? and hath given pledges for payment of Debts and 
Legacies namely the witnesses of the will

I John Quine husband of Anne Cottier one of the children of the 
testatrix  Anne Cottier, do herby acknowledge to have recd.  
And to be fully satisfied the sum of Twenty two pounds the same 
being a Legacy bequeathed to my said wife Anne Cottier by her 
Mother Anne Cottier at and by the hands of my brother in law 
Silvester Cotter. I do hereby acquit  release exonerate and discharge 
the said Silvester Cotter of all and every part of said legacy of 
Twenty Two pounds witness my mark to my name this 6th January 1787

We John, wm, Henry and James Cottier sons of the Testator Ann Cottier, 
do  hereby acknowledge ??? of us respecting to have received and to be 
fully satisfied the several respected sums of Forty shillings each 
the sum being a legacy bequeathed as by the last will of our Mother 
Anne Cottier and payable ny our Brother Silvester Cottier as by and 
from the hands of our said brother Silvester Cottier and we do hereby 
each of us respectively release, acquit exonerate and discharge our 
said brother Silvester Cottier of all and every part of our respective 
legacy of as Witness our hands to our name this 6th January 1787
