                   KK Lonan 

                    At a Chapter Court holden at
                    Douglas Novr 10th 1778

     David Gelling having departed this life on or about 
the 17th Day of October last past Intestate.  The Court upon 
receiving Intelligence thereof hath Decreed his [“three” x'd out] four children 
                                            & Mary
namely John, David, [“and” crossed out] Elinor ^ Gelling together with the 
Child or Children of which Bahee Gelling his Widow is now 
insient joint admon of all his goods and chattels movable & 
immovable whatever, who being all under age, John 
Gelling, Wm Cooilleish & Daniel Mylchreest their Uncles by 
their Father’s Side are sworn their Guardians & Supervisors & 
consent that the sd Widow shall have the [Tuition?] of the 
Dead’s Part of the sd Children and their goods; whereupon she 
is likewise sworn Guardian of the sd children, to return 
a perfect Inventory of the Goods and Effects of the sd Intestate 
to the Registry of the Court and to pay his Debts so far 
forth as the sd goods will extend and the Law shall bind 
her & hath given Pledges in Form of Law namely 
John Kelly of Baldrine and John Fargher both of KK Lonan.

this life 15th of Octr 1778.  appraised by four sworn 
men viz Philip Moore, James Kneale Philip Cowin 
& Wm Cowin as follows ---
