   In the name of God Amen. The twenty seventh Day of
   December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hund
   and seventy eight, I Charles Lawson of the town of Douglas
   mariner being sick in body but of good and perfect memory
   thanks be to Almighty God, and calling to rememberance
   the uncertain Estate of the transitory life, and that all Flesh
   must yield unto Death when it shall please God to call, being
   Penitent and Sorry for all my sins, most Humbly Desireing
   forgiveness for all the same, I commend my soul unto Almighty
   God my saviour and redeemer and my body I commit to
   the earth to be Decently  Buried at the Discretion of my Executr
   hereafter mentioned.
Imprimus, I leave and bequeath to my Daughter Ann the sum
   of sixpence Brittish, Item I leave and bequeath to my Daughter
   Isabella the sum of sixpence Brittish, I leave and bequeath
   sixpence Brittish to all persons who claim any right to this
   my last will in order to cutt them of the same.
Lastly I hereby make constitute and appoint my loving wife
   my full and sole Executor of all this my las will and
   testament, of all my goods and chattles of what kind and nature
   soeever moveable and immoveable, herby revoking disannull
   ing all former wills and making void all former will and
   bequests by me made, and declaring this only to my last
   will and testatment.

At a Chapter Court holden at Douglass Octr 21st 1779
The Execrx is sworn in Court in form of Law, & hath
given Pledges for the payment of debts & legacies namely
Wm Garret & Charles Kissack of KK Braddan this also sworn Guardian
& supervisor of the Child under age

Philip Garrett enters a claim agst the Execr
of Charles Lawson for the sum of œ10 & craves
the Law.
