The last will and testament of Charles Joughin of
KK Andreas being of sound mind and memory at the
making thereof He committed his soul to God & his body
to Christian burial Itm He left to his daughter
Cathrine Twenty shillings to his daughter Anne
Four pounds And also he left to his grand daughter
Joney daughter of his son Andrew
forty shillings which is in the hands of John Corlet Jockey
of KK Andrews also he left to his grand son Charles
son of Andrew Joughin A hive of Bees also he left to his Grand
son Andrew son of Andrew Joughin A hive of Bees Also he
left six pence legacy to any that can claim further
right to his goods Lastly he nominated & appointed his
son Andrew sole & lawfull Execr of all the Rest of
Goods movable & unmovable whatsoever To the witnesses
he left fourteen pence each This the 3rd day of December
1778

At a Chapter Court holden at Lezayre June 8th 1779
The Execr is sworn in Court in form of law & hath given
pledges for the payment of Debts & Legacies namely
Philip Sayle one of the witnesses & Columbus Kneal of KK
Andreas.		   Probatum Est

Jany 25th 1780
This day John Joughin husband of the
within named Anne Joughin acknowledged to
have recd & to be fully paid the sum of four pounds
at by & from the hands of Andrew Joughin this being
a legacy bequeathed his wife Anne
aforesd by the last Will & Testamt of her father Charles
Joughin & he doth hereby acquit release exonerate
& discharge the Execr of Andrew Joughin the Execr of the
last Will & Testament of Charles Joughin of sd Legacy &
every part thereof. Witness his mark to his name the
day & date above written.

Whereas Charles Joughin of the Parish of KK
Andreas did by his last Will and Testament
bequeath unto Catherine Crain als Joughin wife of
Wm Crain of the parish of Lezayre
the sum of twenty shillings ~ I the said Wm Crain
husband of the foresaid Catherine Crain als Joughin
do therefore hereby acknowledge to have received
to be fully paid & satisfied the said sum of twenty 
shillings from Andrew Joughin Execr of the last Will
& Testament of sd Charles Joughin & I do hereby
acquit release exonerate & discharge his
sd Admr ----- of sd Legacy as Witness my
Mark to my Name this 24th day of March 1781
