In the name of God Amen, We James Kermod [and]
Joney Kermod als Clague my wife in the Parish of KK 
Lonan who are both of great age and thereby become 
weak and feeble considering all the uncertainty of Life
 we make our last Will and Testament in manner following.

First We leave will and bequeath the whole benefit of the 
land we know possess also all our worldly Effects of what 
Denominations soever the one to the other and to be enjoyed 
by one or either of us to the Death of the longer liver.
And further leave to Devise six pence legacy to any 
Person or Persons that will claim any Right to our effects 
after our Decease.

And lastly to Nominate and appoint our Son in law 
Patrick Killip and wife whole and sole Executors of all our 
goods and chattels moveable and immoveable of what kind or 
nature soever after the Decease of the longer liver of either 
of us  - in Testimony where we have set our Marks to 
our Names this ye 6th of Jan’y 1777.

Whereas I Joney Kermod widow & relict of the above named James 
Kermod who am a weak feeble superannuated person not any 
wise in a capacity to travel for which reason I order nominate 
and appoint my dutiful son in law Patrick Killip my lawful 
representative and … that he will be sworn in form of Law 
Exec’r of my late deceased husband as witness my mark to my name 
this 25th May 1778

In virtue of the within Power of Attorney Patr[ick ]
Killip is sworn well and truly to fulfill the last [Will] 
& Testament of James Kermod, to pay all his just [debts] 
& Legacies as far as the good[s] will extend & the ….
shall bind.  To which Ends he has given Pledges [in] 
form of Law viz Thos Moore & James Skilli[corn] 
the witnesses of the Will
