Will of John Creer of Braddan - 1782

In the name of God Amen. I John Creere
of the Parish of KK Braddan, being of sound mind
and memory, do make this my last will and testa-
ment in manner following.

I commend my soul to God and my Body to
Christian Burial.

I leave and bequeath to my son Robert ten shillings
and four Ewes.
I leave to my son Wm five shillings.
I leave to my son James an Ewe and a Yearling.
I leave to my son Patrick an Ewe Yearling, and
to the sd Pat's son John  an Ewe Yearling.
I leave to my son John Creere two shillings
I leave to my Daughter Margt Carneen Two shil-
lings
I leave and bequeath to my Daughter Mary 
Corkill five shillings.
I give and bequeath to my loving Wife Jane Creere 
als Cannell whom I likewise constitute and appoint
(whole & vote) Executrix of this my last Will and 
Testament, all the residue and remainder of my
Goods and Chattels with all other properties of
what kind so-ever, to me appertaining, to be possess
ed by her. I leave also to the Witnesses here of 
a shilling a piece. In Witness whereof I have
hereunto put my Mark to my Name this 26th Day 
of December 1781.

Whereas John Creere of Algaar in the parish
of KK Braddan lately deceased and left his wife
Jane Creere als Cannell sole Exectx to his Last Will
and Testament, bearing dates the 26th Dec 1781.
Be it therefore known to all men by these [Ravents]
that the said Jane Creer als Cannell have given,
granted, bargained and sold unto Patrick Creer my
son, all my Right, Title and property in and unto 
the afores. Will & Testament and all Goods and Chattels
specified and comprised therein, both moveable and
immovable, quick and dead, of what kindsoever they
be of, to have and to hold to the said Patrick Creere
and his assignees, to him and their own proper use &
behoof forever, for the consideration and upon conditi
on following (Viz.) that the said Pat. Creer shall
wells and truly content & pay or cause to be contented
and paid, all Debts whatsoever incumbent on the 
said Goods, and also shall pay and perform, all the
Gifts and legacies which are ordained and appointed
by the said Will and Testament. In witness where
of I have hereunto caused my Name and Mark to 
be subscribed this 17th day of May 1782

for the payment of Debts and Legacies namely
Robt Kelly & Wm Killey both of KK Braddan
