This is affirmed by the subscribing witnesses to be the last will and
testament of Mary Roger widow of the said parish of Jurby being sick in body
but of a disposing mind memory and understanding did on or about the sixth
day of July last past make and declare the last will and testament in manner
following:
First she committed her soul to God and her body to Christian burial. Item:
She left her cloathes which she wore every day to her sister Catharine.
Item: She left to her eldest daughter Catharine her gown and apron.
Item: She left and willed to her grandson James Kneale her table and its
frame.
Item: She bequeathed to her granddaughter Jane Cleator her bed, the best
spinning wheel, a piece of linen, her trenchers, and a spit.
Item:  She left to her daughter Mary six pence.
Item:  She left to the witnesses hereof six pence each.
And lastly she nominated constituted and appointed her loving son in law
John Cleator sole and whole executor of all the rest of her goods and
effects moveable and immoveable whatsoever.

At a Chapter Court holden at KK Michael Oct 20th 1783. The executor is sworn
in court in form of law and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and
legacies William Quayle one of the witnesses and John Corlett
