The Last will and testament of Daniel Sayle of the parish of KK Andreas who departed 
this life on the 14th day of March 1783 and committed to writing the 19th of the said 
month.

1st He committed his soul to God and Body to Christian Burial.

2nd He left and bequeathed to each of his children the sum of Ten shillings to be paid at 
the age of Twenty-one save and excepting his eldest daughter to whom he left and 
bequeathed his part of the croft to be possessed by her after death of her mother, still the 
said eldest daughter at her possessing the same to pay the sum of forty shillings a piece to 
the other children.

Lastly He nominated and appointed his loving wife Jane whole executrix of the rest of his 
goods of whatsoever denomination and to the witnesses of the will he left on e shilling each.

The Exec is sworn in court in form of law and hath given pledges for the payment of 
Debts legacies namely Thomas Radcliffe, the witness and John Kewin both of Andreas. 
Thomas Sayle and John Radcliffe uncles by the father’s side together with the widow 
sworn guardians and supervisors of the children under age.
