In the Name of God Amen --
I Thomas Kneen, son of Thomas Kneen 
of KK Andreas being of sound and Perfect 
mind and Memory and being Determined 
and Bound to Go a Voyage to sea Towards 
the Coasts of Africa, and being Desirious 
to settle my affairs so as to prevent 
any suit or trouble after my Decease, 
in case it Please God to take me home, 
before my return, do make this my Last 
Will, Testament and Power, in manner 
and form following, 
First I Recommend my soul to Almighty 
God who gave it, and my Body to be 
inter’d in a Christian Like Manner, 
where it shall Please the Great God 
that I may be taken unto at the time 
of my Death – 
I give Leave and Bequeath the Same in 
Manner herein after mentioned, I Leave, 
Give and Bequeath to my Brother Daniel 
Creen, the sum of Ten Shillings British, 
and no more, I leave Every Relation who 
can Lawfully Claim the same six pence 
and no more, and as for all the rest 
residue and remainder of my Estate Real 
and Personal that I am in ???? to my 
Dear Father Thomas Kneen aforesaid to 
be enjoyed as ??? his heirs & assigns 
for ever, in case I Die before my return, 
but in case I return alive and well 
the same is hereby reserved for my self, 
I hereby declare all other wills by me 
heretofore made null and void, and this 
only to be my Last Will and Testament; 
and I Do hereby name and appoint 
Thomas Kneen my father sole and Whole 
Executor of this my Last Will and Testament, 
and Lastly Know all men by these presents 
that the Thomas Kneen the younger.  
Do hereby name and appoint Thomas Kneen 
my said Father my true and Lawfull 
Attorney for me in my name or otherwise 
and for his own use to sue for and recover 
all wages, bounty money, Prize money 
that may be due to me by any way or means 
at the time of my Death from any ship 
Vesell or Person whatsoever – In Witness 
whereof I have here set my hand and 
seal this 20th day of June in the year 
of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred 
and Sixty.

      At a Chapter Court holden at Lezayre 
      Octobr 22d 1765.
Thomas Radcliffe & Wm Cleater have Deposed 
on the Holy Evangelists that Thos Kneen being 
of sound Disposing mind & memory declared 
& duly executed the foregoing Writing as & 
for his last will & Testament and that they 
know of no Will made to the contrary thereof 
but whereas it is not certain whether Thos 
Kneen the Testator alive or not, at the 
request of Thos Kneen the Testator Father 
this will is to be recorded for the safe 
custody thereof.

At a Chapter Court holden at Lezayre June 26th 1783
Edward Christian of the Town of Ramsay this day deposed 
on the holy Evangelists that the within named Testator 
Thomas Kneen departed this life in the Island of 
Granada about six years ago -- 
         Before us
           Wm Clucas
           Chas Crebbin

At a Chapter Court at Lezayre June 26th 1783
Thos Kneen Senr the Snr within named having 
departed this life & appointed his wife 
Catharine Execr of his last will & Testamt  
The said Catharine is sworn duly to fulfill 
the last will & testamt of Thos Kneen Junr 
the within testator to pay his Debt & Legacies 
as far as the gods will defend & the law 
shall bind, to which Ends she has given 
Pledges in form of Law namely Wm Radcliffe 
& John Kneen both of Andreas.
