The Last Will and Testament of Thos Moore of the Parish
of KK Lonon who deptd this life on or about the 15th May 1783
being sick but of sound mind and memory at the making thereof 
first commiting his soul to God & Body to Christian Burial 
as to his worldly Goods and Effects he bequeathed them in manner 
following 
	First he left and bequeathed to Thomas his eldest son and 
Heir his part or half the crop and Team viz: two cows and a [horse] 
and also his part of the Husbandry Geers provided he would ........... 
give up eight pounds left him by his mother (the Testator’s 
former wife as upon Record may appear) to his youngest brother 
William 
	Item He left and bequeathed his part of the sheep and horses 
equally between his sons namely Thomas, John, Charles and James 
	Item he left and bequeathed to his two Daughters Jane and 
Anne Ten pounds each and also a feather bed and bedding apiece 
and all the corn and meat in the house for the family use
 ..... and an English shilling apiece to the witnesses of this Will 
	And lastly nominated and appointed his loving wife 
Catherine whole and sole Executrix of all the rest of his Goods 
and Chattels movable and immovable of what kind or nature 
soever

At a Chapter Court holden at KK Onchan June 6th 178[3] 
the Extx is sworn in Court in Form of Law and hath given 
pledges for the payment of debts& legacies namely 
the witnesses of the Will. She is to return an inventory ^of the several legacies 
Thomas the eldest son & the Extx are sworn Guardians 
& supervisors of the children under age

An Inventory of the Legacies bequeathed by the late 
Thos Moore of KK Lonnan unto six of his children 
who are yet in their non-age appraised by order 
of the Spiritual Court by four sworn men namely 
John Cottier, Robt Craine, John Stowell & Jas Stowell
11th June 1783: first of all the joint legacy of Thos
John Charles & James:
To   half of 26 sheep at 3/8 Ech   2  -  5  -  4
To   half of 13 Lambs at 1/6 Ech   0  -  9  -  9
To   Half the horses	              2  -  4  -  7

To  a feather Bed & Bolster weighing   1  -  4  -  6

     I Thomas Moore Eldest son of the 
Testator Thomas Moore do acknowledge to 
have recd from Cath Moore the Execx all 
the Goods and Effects that fell due to me in 
the inventory of my father, and of any share 
of sd Goods & every part thereof I exonerate 
acquit & discharge the sd Catherine 
the Execx & every other Person who 
witnesses my mark annexed to my name 
the day & date above written
