109 Jurby This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Robert Christian of Jurby who departed this life about the 12th day of March 1784, being in prefect mind & memory at the makeing thereof. First he left to his son Robert his choice of the two looms and all his hettles & goods & gears and his new hatt. Secondly he left to his two sons Robt & Thomas all his --- ---- cloth; he left to his beloved wife Margaret a silk hankercher and ----- silver buttens. He left to his four daughters namely Margaret, Catherine, Ann and Jane five shillings apiece. Lastly he nominated ordain and appoint his son Robert whole & sole Execr of all the rest of his goods moveable and immoveable whatsoever. He left to the witnesses of his last will seven pence each. Witnesses: Thos: Kissage my mrk X, Ann Wade my mrk X, jur: At a Chapter Court holden at KK Michael June 15th 1784: The Execr is sworn in Court in form of Law & hath given pledges for payment of debts and legacies namely Daniel Kneale & Patrick Kneale both of Jurby. He is also sworn guardian & supervisor of his sister under age. Sol: 1s, Probatum est, Thos: Cubbon.
