68 Bride The last will and testament of Thomas Christian of the parish of KK Bride made and declared on the 17th day of April 1785, being of sound mind and memory at the making thereof. First, he committed his soul to God and his body to Christian burial. Item, he left to his two DAUGHTERS namely CATHRINE THE WIFE OF MATTHIAS CREBBIN and MARY THE WIFE OF JOHN MAZON four pounds each. Item, he left to his GRANDSON JOHN CREBBIN four pounds legacy. Item, he left to his SON DANIEL CHRISTIAN the sum of thirty one shillings British, which he had on his own hands. Lastly, he nominated and apointed his SON WILLIAM CHRISTIAN sole executor of all the rest of his goods moveable and unmoveable whatsoever. As witness his name and mark, this day and year above written. [signed his mark] Thomas Christian. Witnesses: Philip Wade, Charles Kewn. AT A CHAPTER COURT HOLDEN at Lezayre the 3rd day of June 1783, the executor is sworn in Court in form of Law and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies namely the witnesses of this will. WE, JOHN MAZON HUSBAND OF MARY named in the within will and CATHARINE CREBBIN do both of us hereby acknowledge to have received and to be fully paid the sum of four pounds each, the same being a legacy bequeathed us by the last will and testament of our FATHER THOMAS CHRISTIAN, and we do hereby acquit, release, exonerate and dischare the executors of the last will and testament of said Thomas Christian of all and every part of our said respective legacies of four pounds each, as witness our marks to our names this 14 Jul 1786.
