JOUGHIN, Ann 1785 And A 64 0106229 The Last Will and Testament of Ann Joughin als Joughin of the parish of Andreas she being Weak in body but of perfect mind & memory at the mak- Ing thereof. She commit her Soule to God & her body To Christian Burial. She did bequeath an Dispose of her Worldly goods & Effects in manner as following. Then she left her Daughter Alice Eight Pounds Legasy & the Bed which she the s'd Alice lies On a bed with a new blanket on and other blanket and All Cloathes and apparel. The Large fir Chest and the Linen Yarn and and the weal of Linen cloth that is name on Her s'd Daughter and the Sheep that name on her self Then she left her son Phillip Eight Pounds to be Laid out upon and for him in putting him To trade & if he the s'd Phillip her son Refuse Trade he Is not to Receive the s'd Eight Pounds till at the age of Twenty one years and also a pare of Breeches of the pledin That is new in the house. Then she left her Daughter Ann wife Of Phillip Faragher the Bees and Bee hives that is in s'd Phillip Faragher garden. Then she left her husband John Joughin Her part of the feather bed & bolster during his life Time that she lies on and then to Return to her son John after the Decease of his father. Then she left to whosoever that that Will Claim any Right in this her Will a Shilling Each. Then she left to the Witnesses two Shillings Lastly She Constituted & ordained her Son John Joughin whole Exc'r of all the Rest of her goods movable and Immovable of what nature whatsoever. Witnesses }Mary Sayle her mk X }John Tear Jurati After the beforgoing Will she left to her Daughter Alice all her part of the woolen and her part of the flax that they now have this was joined to her will on the 12th October 1784 Jn. Tear Jur: At a Chapter Court holden at Lezayre June 3, 1785 Notwithstanding the will is proved but by one witness yet as no objection has been offered, the Exec'r is sworn in Court in form of Law and hat given pledges for the payment of Debts & Legacies Namely John Tear the Witness & Philip Fargher both of Andreas Probatum est Salvo tamen cujus _______ Thos: Cubbon Transcribers Notes: Patrick Brew the husband of Alice Joughin the daughter of Ann acknowledges receipt of her legacies on October 12, 1789. Philip Joughin son of Ann acknowledges receipt of his legacy as well on Oct. 12, 1789.
