             Jurby 1786 
At a Chapter Court holden at KK Michael on the 20th day of June 1786. Mary
Kneen alias Crow of the parish of Jurby having departed this life on
or about the 29th day of April 1786 last past intestate and the court having
received intelligence thereof hath decreed her three children
namely John, Anne and Mary Kneen joint administrators of all her goods
chattels and effects moveable and immovable whatever who being all
under age DANIEL KNEEN the father, is sworn their guardian and
supervisor as also well and truly to administer said estate in trust in
behalf of said  orphans the just debts of the intestate so far as the said
goods and effects will extend and the law bind him and to return a true
and perfect inventory of the said goods chattels and effects to the Registry
of this court. To these ends he hath given pledges in form of
law namely William Tear and John Hughes, Junior both of the parish of
Ballaugh
           Decretum est   John Moore and Ev Christian
An inventory of the goods of Daniel Kneen and Mary Kneen his late wife
the said Mary Kneen died Friday the 18th of April 1786 without making a
will.  The Sumner of the said parish of Jurby have summoned and sworn John
Tear, John Killip Adam Mylevorrey and Wm Cannell to aprise the
goods and effects of said Daniel Kneen and late deceased wife Mary
Kneen otherwise Crow having issue by said Daniel Kneen three children under
age viz John Kneen Ann and Mary.
