37     Ballaugh January 31st 1784
the last will and testament of Ellinor Corlet 
otherwise Lace wife of Thomas Corlet senior of 
Brooghjarg Mooar in the said parish being in 
bodily health and of sound disposing memory 
and understanding made and declared the same 
in manner following. 
First, she committed her soul to God and body 
to Christian burial. 
Item, she bequeathed to her son Philip Corlet 
the sum of ten pounds. 
She willed six pence to each person who should 
claim any legal right to her goods and effects. 
And lastly she nominated constituted and appointed 
her said loving husband Thomas Corlet sole and 
whole Executor of all the rest of her goods 
chattels and effects whatever, and three 
shillings to the witnesses of her last will 
and testament. 
Witnesses: 
Thomas Callister, 
John Grimshaw. 

At a Chapter Court holden at 
KK Michael, 9th June 1788
The Executor is sworn in court in form of Law and hath 
given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies 
namely the witnesses of this will. 

I Philip Corlett do acknowledge to have received of 
Thomas Corlett my father the sum of ten pounds being 
a legacy left me by my mother Ellinor Corlett in 
witness hereof I subscribe my name this the 
10th November 1792.
