       Lezayre
At a Chapter Court holden at Lezayre on the 17th day of June 1790.  Ewan
Curphey of the parish of Lezayre Bachelor having perished by sea on or about
the 4th day of January last past intestate and this court having
intelligence thereof have decreed his father namely John Curphey Esq
administrator of all and singular his goods, rights, credits, chattels, and
effects movable and immovable whatever.  He is there upon sworn well
and truly to administer the said estate of his intestate and to pay all his
just debts so far forth as the said goods and effects will extend and the
law shall bind him. To which ends he hath given pledges in form of law
namely the Revd William Clucas Rector of Kirk Bride and Jon Lace Esq of
Castletown.
